  • Flock of Guinea fowl strutting by a pile of fence posts. Comical birds related to Peacocks. If you heard them squawk you would recognize their call as like a peacock's. these birds are eaten in african countries. They have very dark, strong tasting meat which most people don't associate with a 'fowl' flavor profile. In Maine, people often keep them to keep the tick population down. Like ducks, they do a good job of eating ticks and other noxious insects. .
