  • male Osprey with Alewife. Alewives are a type of river herring. They are plentiful in spring in Maine when they come from the Atlantic ocean into the rivers and streams to spawn. They are an important food source for the second biggest raptor in Maine, the Osprey.
  • American Crow in flight vocalizing. Crow calls can be so loud that they are annoying! In spring when mating and nest building as well as protecting young they are especially loud. When the youngsters fledge and fly around together it's deafening!
