Yellow Billed Loon, Gavia adamsii is also know as the White-billed Diver. It's the largest member of the loon family. It breeds in the Arctic and winters mainly at sea along the coasts of the northern Pacific Ocean and northwestern Norway; it also sometimes overwinters on large inland lakes. This one was on Casco Bay, Maine near Portland, October 29, 2010. This is a very rare bird to see in Maine.
