Bath, Maine, small flock of Wood Ducks. There were five ducks in this little migratory flock, one hen and four drakes. I found them in a tiny spot of pond in a cemetery. I visit the pond off and on while there is open water. It is less than two feet deep, so it freezes early and thaws late. I have photographed turtles, ducks and muskrats in the pond many times. Today, I saw the first of the season turtles and a muskrat. In addtion were these Wood Ducks, also first of season finds. I don't always see Wood Ducks in there, and never more than one. This was a real treat.
