OSPREY - Pandion haliaetus
Osprey, also called Fish Hawks, Pandion haliaethus is a migratory bird of prey in Maine. This large raptor hunts only live fish. It hovers in the air over water to see fish then plunges feet first to capture fish. Osprey and Herring gull in flight, gull chased Osprey with fish, Osprey dropped fish (probably and Alewife) which can be seen on bottom right of image.
