  • Limenitis archippus, Viceroy butterfly dorsal view. This butterfly looks very similar to Monarchs. On thier hindwing they have a continuous black line. At the apex of the forewing is a triangle with white. They are also smaller and paler than Monarchs. This is the first Viceroy I've seen. Phippsburg, Maine. This one is on fronds of the Sweet fern shrub.

  • green caterpillar. I don't know the identification. I'm guessing it's that of a Cabbage moth. It did not have a horn, so that rules out Horn worm. Maine butterfly/moth larva
