Silene, an unidentified flower that volunteers in my coastal, Phippsburg, Maine gardens. Seeds for this were introduced in some other plant, or perhaps a bird dropped them. This is a reseeding annual.
This is a container of mixed annual flowers. The conatiner is an iron caldron. Each year, I put flowers that are left over from other things so there is always an unplanned assortment. This was a successful year. The flowers are pink impatiens, purple petunias, purple salvia and white allysum.
