• First Congregational Church, Wells Maine with brilliant fall foliage. A historic church at the corner of Rt. 1 and Barker's Lane in Wells, Maine.
It was built in 1862 and added to the National Register of Historic Places in 1991.
This photo was taken from the parking lot of Reny's Department store. These are two Maine classics!

 • Door with fan detail, Friendship, Maine. This door has perfect proportions to my eye. The door is narrow, but has weight because of the side panels which are fitted to the width of the fan. The fan has fine fanning detail which compliment the delicate width of the door. The windows in the door top mimic the arch of the fan and draw the eye upward even more toward the fan. I don't know when this was built, but I'll guess very early 1800s.
